Good Intentions Are Not Enough

Good intentions are not enough. Good actions are required as well.

If you promise me the world but don’t deliver, you’ve failed to meet the expectations you set in my mind. You may have truly intended to deliver, but you didn’t. How can I trust you if you don’t keep your word?

This is why I value integrity so highly. I am my word. If I fail to meet your expectations, I will (1) let you know as soon as possible and (2) apologise profusely. If I believe I cannot deliver, then I will say so, thereby meaning I have no good intentions that lack action.

Stop promising and not delivering. You may intend to do well, but you’re mostly hurting yourself.
